About Us

The Adventures of Rover began as hand drawn stories to try to distract my 4 year old nephew from the Covid 19 pandemic.  He had gotten wind of "the virus" and was worried his parents, grandparents, and school friends were going to die from it.  In an attempt to distract him from these thoughts, I drew a cartoon dog named Rover in a pickup truck and texted it to my sister.  I asked her to show her son and ask him where Rover should go next.  I drew the scene he requested and asked him again what to do next with Rover.  My nephew and sister liked the idea so much that I sent a similar cartoon to my other niece and nephew.  With the encouragement of my family, I decided to combine my coding hobby with my short stories... and so, The Adventures of Rover was born!
